If you do a Google search for the definition of success, you will find a lot of different definitions. Some of them are based on achievements and how people feel about them. Others are based on popularity or material acquisitions.

Some such as having the respect of intelligent people, not being frustrated, being happy, finishing a project, not having stress, are some of the definitions that grab my attention. Others say that it is a mixture of elements and others that is the balance between them.

How do you define success?
It seems that success is different for each one of us. Furthermore, I was reading the definition of success of some very successful men and women that changed the course of humanity and that I deeply admire.  In brief, none of these definitions resemble the other.

Thus, your definition of success is a reflection of the focal point of what you want to achieve. I totally agree with Stephen Covey, when he says that success is a very personal definition.

Therefore, if there is no focal point and if we do not know what we want to achieve, how can we define success?

I suggest you do this exercise:

First, be clear about the focal point. Choose the area of your life, such as relationships, professional, finances or health and established what you want to achieve and why so your definition of success will make more sense and will be unique and exclusive.

Second, define success based on what you want to achieve and why.

This exercise is essential to reach success. You need to increase your life intentionally. Knowing where you are going and why you want to go in that direction is the safest step to success.
