With the rapid passing of time, having control of your days, having the right perspective, and stay focus becomes increasingly difficult.

One of the greatest challenges of this century is to maintain the right focus, in the middle of an extraordinary amount of information and distractions.

These distractions can cause you to:

• Lose control of your resources,
• Drop the objectivity that is required to see things clearly,
• Reduce your ability to concentrate to stay focused.

When we talk about being focused, there are three important aspects that we must take into account:

First, we must avoid distractions – such as spending hours in social media or reading emails that have nothing to do with what we are trying to achieve. While you may not have control over many distractions, you can limit them. If you allow distraction to take too much time away from your important activities and your plan you are sabotaging your goals and your own productivity.

Second, we must stay away from activities that are not related to what we are going to achieve. You can be busy all day long, but that does not mean that you are having the correct results. Remember that there are activities that seem like opportunities, but the truth is that they are only distractions that move us away from our objective.

Third, we must create the right environment for success, by having self-leadership, a positive attitude and daily discipline. These three elements are essential not only to achieve success on a daily basis but to set up yourself to keep the correct mindset and reach your goals.

As Zig Ziglar says, “Lack of direction, not lack of time, is the problem. We all have twenty-four hour days.”

Thus, keep the correct approach and take the right action every day in order to get closer to your goals.

Be clear in your priorities, avoid distractions, and create the right environment to promote success.
